		What can be found out by using this patch?
		You can discover your Genetic Alcohol Tolerance. There are 3 types of genetic alcohol tolerance level; NN type (high alcohol intake tolerance level) ND type (low alcohol intake tolerance level) and DD type (zero alcohol intake tolerance level). This genetic alcohol tolerance can not change throughout your lifetime. ※ DD type people should never do “bottoms up” drinking.

		Can it be used while drinking alcohol?
		The tester can not produce accurate results when used while drinking. Please use the tester at least 6 hours after alcohol intake.


		Can it be used at any time if I am not drinking alcohol?
		You can use the patch at any time with the exception of times right after bathing or physical exercise.

		What is the best recommended usage of the patch?
		Using the patch within a small group of people at the same time will determine the alcohol tolerance level of each member of the group which in turn can prevent alcohol intake over dose.


		What is the convenient feature of this product?
		You can easily read the results with the visible color change.


		Are there any points of caution that need attention during usage of the product?
		Please use the product as soon as possible upon opening the aluminum packaging.




		Can the patch be applied to any part of the body?
		Use the patch on any body part except for mucous membrane areas. Application on the inside of forearms, or on body areas which are soft and not directly exposed to sunlight are recommended to get clearly visible color change.




		How long does it take to get the results?
		About 20 minutes.If you have never had alcohol in the past, please wait for 30 minutes.

		How are the results determined?
		After 20 minutes, you can read the results by comparing skin color of the site with the color index. The redder the color within the transparent window is, the lower the alcohol tolerance level.




		Is it safe to apply or stick on the skin?
		The product has passed patch test standards and is safe for use.

What can be found out by using this product?

The skin moisture evaporation level (TEWL) and the skin barrier function can be determined and measured.


■What is TEWL? It is an abbreviation of “Transepidermal Water Loss”. Measurement of the skin moisture evaporation level is an objective method in determining human skin condition.



	●What is TEWL in general? According to the studies our company conducted, the TEWL level is at 1-2 mg/cm2/hr. in case of healthy human skin. It has also been revealed that the TEWL varies depending on the body part. The face, palms and soles have a tendency to have a higher TEWL count.



	●How is the TEWL calculated? Given value on the color index x (60/ duration of application in minutes) For example, if in 10 minutes the color index number shows 0.2, the TEWL value = 0.2 X (60/10) = 1.2



■What is Barrier function? The barrier function is a mechanism which prevents foreign substances from entering the body and also prevents moisture from exiting the body. When the barrier function deteriorates, various skin problems may occur. It is important to check your skin condition with any tool like the Skin Moisture Checker.

Can I use the checker when perspiring?

It is not possible to achieve an accurate measurement when the skin is sweaty or wet. You must wait until perspiration stops before using the checker.

To compare efficacies of moistening creams, when should I apply the checker?

Wait until the cream is completely absorbed into the skin. When using a water-based moistening cream, use the checker one hour after the cream is applied.

Can perspiration volume level also be checked?

Yes.

Where should the check be performed?

The check can be performed in any place so long as it is dry and the skin is protected from getting wet. Please avoid hairy place.

What is the recommended usage of the product?

The product can be used before and after application of cosmetic goods in order to see the efficacies of make-up products, moisture creams and lotions. It can also be used on both left and right forearms, to compare and evaluate the difference between one arm that has moisture cream applied and the other arm which has no cream applied.

Can I use it on the face?

Yes. Please avoid sticking the product on any mucous membrane or hairy place.

What is the advantage of this product?

You can easily read results by simply checking color change. You can also know your skin condition at a glance.

How long does it take to get result?

Although it may vary depending on the area of application, it generally takes 5 – 10 minutes.

How are the results interpreted?

By comparing the color of the Skin Moisture Checker with the color index. The bluer the color within the transparent window is, the more moist the skin is. When the checker shows a pink color this means the skin is dry. Please take caution.
